Creative Writing from Boba

Week 1
Creative Writing
Finish the Story

Tim and Sally received a new sled for Christmas one year.  They waited and waited for the snow to fall so they could use it.  Just before they went to bed one night, they saw some snowflakes fall.  When they got up the next morning, snow had fallen on everything.  They got on their warm snow clothes and…. They ran outside and played in the snow.  But a big monster came out of where the girl was, the monster went in its hole and telled the babies that it snow, then the babies came out and grabbed all the men and ate them up.  Then the monster spit them out, then the men punched the monsters down to the ground.  And the Monster got killed.  Then they lived happily ever after.  The End

He has to write something almost every week, and I just copy down exactly what he says, someday he's going to love this, right??  For this one, I gave him the beginning of the story (in italics), then he finished...

Decorating

We are slowly working on decorating every room in our house (we've never lived in a fully "decorated" house before)... but in the mean time, here are a few of the ways our boys help us get ready for this holiday...

Just getting started... see the fangs??

All done and so proud!!

couldn't decide on an overall theme... or exactly how to smile!

Now he's got it... maybe!

So just outside our front door, you are greeted by these nice looking pumpkins....  yay for decorations!!
If you are wondering how we got these awesome pumpkins... see this post about our punkin patchin'!!

Punkin Patchin'

Our first "punkin hunt" of the season!  We enjoyed a very informative lesson on bees and how they make honey, then fed some cows and goats, followed by a hayride to the "Patch" to pick our very own punkin!
"Some" of us (mainly the one with the camera) just LOVED the leaves and all their beautiful colors.  We were certainly impressed with the picture of our world that God painted for us today... truly blessed!
What greeted us on our way in... just majestic!!

Yep... bees!!

Ready for our bee lesson!

Feeding the cows....

mostly standing around holding straw... the cows weren't hungry!

Boba said, "This is my FIRST hayride!"

What we were surrounded by all day!!

After trading in a LOT... finally deciding on this one...

Just the right one!

In the Corn Maze!

Want to know what happened to those little punkins they picked??? Stay tuned!!

Playing our game...

Both boys are in this picture somewhere... can you see them??
Everyday when it's time for Jango and I to read, we go lay in my bed and Boba usually joins us, and Jango reads to us.  Well, another fun thing we do before we read, is Jango goes into my room to hide from me before I come in.  This day, he and Boba both hid from me, and Jango hid in the best spot he ever has.  I was really scared, so I had to 'restage" it and take pictures!!

Are those clothes in there??
Do those pants look lumpy?
Yikes!!!
Oh No!!!!!!

Then they were both tickled until they couldn't breath...

One more time....

Jango is getting to use his new tooth pillow for the first time.  After we wrote our last entry about not having a pillow to put our tooth in, one of our readers and friends, Mrs. Linda, sent each of the boys a tooth pillow.  It worked wonders and the tooth fairy found the pillow and left the money just as she is supposed to...

The only problem now.... how to smile for the camera, while showing your missing teeth, and not looking completely scary!! YIKES!!

 Better
That's it... it could have something to do with Momma getting the flash off... WOW!! Two teeth missing right beside each other...

Making a Mummy??

Last night I saw something from a friend of mine about making a chicken mummy. Yeah, it's out there, google it. Anyway... I just knew that Jango would LOVE it BUT I'm not crazy about doing all the steps involved, and then it would just be a mummified chicken and not look anything like a "real" mummy... So... I told Jango to go this morning and get one of his "men" (i.e. action figures), and we took some gauze and a few beads for "jewelry" and made a little mummy man... he still LOVED it, and I didn't have to deal with a dead chicken or any other stinky, yucky things like that... I think we'll make a real mummy chicken when we're both a bit older!

After the mummy was all wrapped up, he "buried" it under some toilet paper! Then he said that some "men" had come up and opened the coffin, and because they had done that, the mummy had cursed them, and now they were all dead... so he staged the next photo!

You can just kind of make out the mummies jewels placed inside his "wrappings"...
